How to Handle Multiple Clients Efficiently

It’s an opportunity

When your clients feel the love, it’s an opportunity to build a strong and lasting relationship with them

They are more likely to trust you and value your services

Just like any relationship, making your client FEEL like they are your one and only requires a combo of empathy, communication, and exceptional service

Keep it simple by focusing on their needs, being responsive, providing value, and showing appreciation,... And you will build a strong and lasting relationship

The bonus? They will tell everyone [like - their mom, BFF, dog, neighbour, Starbucks barriesta] about you

Not only will you gain a strong relationship with them, but you will also gain repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals

How to build a strong & lasting relationship with each client

Your client will more likely to trust you and value your services if you:

  • Focus on their needs: When you are working with a client, it is important to focus on their needs and concerns. Listen to their requirements and ensure that you are meeting them. Take time to understand their business and the challenges they face, and tailor your services to meet their specific needs.

  • Communication: Communication is key to building a strong relationship with your client. Make sure that you are available to them when they need you, and respond promptly to their emails and calls. Keep them informed of any updates or changes to their project, and make sure that they understand what you are doing and why.

  • Provide exceptional service: Go above and beyond to provide exceptional service to your client. Provide them with value-added services that they may not expect, and make sure that they are completely satisfied with the work that you are doing for them.

  • Show appreciation: Show your client that you appreciate their business. Send them a thank-you note or a small gift to show your gratitude for their loyalty. Acknowledge their successes and milestones, and celebrate them with them.

As a business owner, the words:

“Trust and Loyalty”

“Positive Reputation”

“Increased revenue”

“Competitive Advantage”

…should mean a lot to you [just saying]

The challenge is real

Now, don't get me wrong... it can be challenging to make each client feel like they are your only client when you have a busy workload and many clients to manage

Here are some of my strategies that you can use to help make your clients feel prioritized:

☑️ Schedule regular check-ins with your clients to provide updates and discuss any concerns they may have

☑️ I love a good template/canned email, but tailor your communication to each client and use their preferred method of communication, if possible, to address any concerns or questions they may have within 24-hours

☑️ If you are experiencing a high workload or are unable to meet a client's needs within their desired timeframe, be honest and transparent with them. Offer solutions and alternatives, and work with them to find a mutually beneficial solution

Not only will you gain a strong relationship with them, but you will also gain repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals [the best kind of marketing]
