An online wing-woman

UNLIKE ANY OTHER, AND WHO IS ALMOST AS COOL AS YOU.

I was 13 years old when my mom’s bed and breakfast in Niagara-on-the-Lake became one of the best-kept secrets in Ontario. It was a place where guests felt like they were coming home. Her eggs benedict was legendary, and those extra fluffy towels were one of the most popular comments in her reviews. My mom's passion for serving her guests was undeniable, but the business side? Well, that needed a bit more love. She couldn’t do it all (managing reservations, handling guest check-ins and check-outs, maintaining the property, ensuring cleanliness, keeping up with financial records, marketing, and customer service), nor should she have to. No one should.

I decided to step in as her right hand. I turned to YouTube and Google to find ways to make things run smoother for her. I spent countless hours learning how to create an online presence and exceptional client experiences. I set up automations for booking, streamlined the process for leaving reviews, ensured we stayed compliant, and managed a list of everything that needed attention on the regular. It was a lot of work, but seeing the relief and happiness on her face made every effort worth it for me.

That's when I knew I had a knack for this.

Fast forward to my corporate days in Tampa. In the beginning, it was great! My boss was awesome, I made some amazing office friends, and I often enjoyed eating my sushi burritos while soaking in the sunshine at the front building’s picnic table. Not too shabby for young Crystal. But after several years, I started to feel stuck on a never-ending hamster wheel. The corporate ladder had its moments, but deep down, I knew it wasn’t where I belonged.

And then it happened. Burnout hit me hard, along with some personal life stuff. I was encouraged by many to take a vacation. That got me dreaming about a solo trip to Europe where I met my cousins. But, to make that dream a reality, I took on a side gig for some extra cash (because young Crystal also wanted to splurggggge). That’s when I virtually met Jimbo, an entrepreneur in Miami who needed help with his startups.

Managing multiple clients while creating systems and SOPs was no small feat, especially after my day job hours (which often times were outside of the 9 -5 grind). Yes, there were late nights and steep learning curves, but it reignited a passion in me that I thought was lost. I saw firsthand how small-mid size businesses could transform with the right processes in place.

This side gig was more than just extra cash to burn on a two-week European summer vacay; it was a gateway to freedom and creativity. I realized that I wanted to help more people directly, to bring that same sense of relief and efficiency to other entrepreneurs.

Little did I know that this was the beginning of my business.

I’m going to be real with you…

Leaving my 9-5 job was one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made. It felt like I was stepping away from a guaranteed path! But everything changed when I found out I was pregnant. With a very limited maternity leave (cough, six weeks) and constant travel demands, I realized my old life was no longer sustainable, or the life I wanted.

The thought of juggling a new business and motherhood was daunting. There were many sleepless nights and endless hours of work. But today, I’m celebrating a major milestone with you. And it’s because I never gave up!

I went from a side hustle virtual assistant to officially launching my own virtual assistant business. Then, I took on clients as an online business manager, and now I’ve leveled up my services as a Fractional Chief Operating Officer [cue the bubbly]!

Now, with Crystal Eva Incorporated, I empower and support women entrepreneurs by streamlining their technology, enhancing client retention, and elevating the client journey and onboarding process with seamless efficiency. Seeing my clients transform their businesses and regain their peace of mind fuels my passion every. single. day.

My core values and they are proudly displayed on the fridge.

INTEGRITY

This is a good word for something hard to pin down. It's a way of living that values honesty and openness and takes responsibility for our actions—good and bad [and the ugly].

TRANSPARENCY

We value honest and open relationships with our family, friends, teammates, business partners, and clients.

What does transparency look like with us?

Avoiding tricks, and hidden agendas.

This brings value to our business and earns your respect.

EXCELLENCE

We strive to be excellent [because perfectionism is a trap and, well, boring].

Excellence is not something one stumbles over like your child’s wooden blocks in the middle of the night.

It requires hard work, dedication, and a desire to learn. And that's what we're all about. We put our whole hearts into the work we do because we know that what we do matters to you.

YOUR CORE VALUES SHOULD SUPPORT YOUR BUSINESS’ VISION, TOO.

Our culture is work-life balance

I empower my team and clients to manage time efficiently and create processes that support life balance and encourage creativity.

As you consider working with me, we must share these same values.

The right partnership is invaluable in business and ensures a beautiful long-term commitment. We're in it for the long haul.

In the words of Sitting Bull, "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything."

There's a lot of stuff that goes into building a strong vision for your business, and what shapes it’s core values.

My core values reinforce my vision. They're a means to an end that provides structure and a guiding hand for my team and clients alike. Without them, any decision could be made at the spur of the moment, and that's just not our style.

“Crystal treats any task as if it was for her own business, and will go the extra mile to ensure it's a success.

She has been so great to work with. She has made it possible for me to run my two businesses successfully! I'm very systematic in how I run my businesses and Crystal was so quick to adapt and jumped right in without missing a beat. She's extremely professional, a great communicator, an easy person to work with, and my biggest cheerleader.  I highly recommend Crystal to anyone in need of business backend support!”
